September & October Faves
I couldn’t decide whether this should be September, October, or Fall favorites so here we are! Lets get into it :)
I started September off by finally making my own journal! This little book has been my literal best friend for the last two months. I’ve got two inserts in there, one grid and one lined in the A5 size. The grid is used for any quick notes I need to take like lists, blog post ideas, and quick book notes. The lined is for longer form pieces like book reviews and analysis. I take this baby almost everywhere I go and honestly feel so attached to it already. Hopefully it lasts me FOREVER!
For the last two months all I’ve been cooking is Chauncey Chicken. I made up the name, I made up the recipe, and I think it’s really really tasty (recipe in my recipe box! :P )
BEACH!!! We have been blessed with some 80 degree days this fall, in September AND October! Though I think the hot weather days might be behind us now, I will never forget these quiet trips. We saw dolphins and battled lantern flies and ALWAYS got a prime parking spot by the entrance. Goooood times <3
Reading!! (Are we shocked? lol) In October I gave myself the goal of reading 11 “spooky” themed books. I tackled Dracula, the Postmortal and Martyr among others. I’m honestly so surprised by how much I enjoyed my October reads, it has been a long time since I've read so many enjoyable books in a row. I am so so glad I challenged myself to this, but I don’t know if I will ever give myself a challenge like this again.
